Hello, all.
The short story:
(The *really* short story is in the subject, of course.)
I've enjoyed the ride, but I'd like to get off. I've not done any
work on slim-vim in months, and have no plans to start again. I will
leave the repositories up at theclapp.org. If somebody else really
wants to pick up the baton, you can of course do what I did and just
start your own repository on your own website, or get some space at
common-lisp.net.
If someone wants to take over administration of the mailing list (not
that there's much to take over), and the folks on the list don't
object, email me privately and I'll make you an admin.
The slightly longer story:
The more I worked on slim-vim, and the more I looked at Vim internals,
the more I didn't like it, and the more I felt like I was just
reinventing Emacs. I've always said, "If I want Emacs, I know where
to find it." Well, since I felt like I'd just end up there anyway, I
just said the heck with it and bought Lispworks Professional. I'm now
slowly transitioning away from Vim an into Lispworks as my primary
editor.
So anyway, good luck and $DEITY bless.
