Hmm -- I do, in fact, use "--enable-gui=gtk2". Here's my complete
configure line:
export CFLAGS="-I/usr/local/lib/ecl/ecl"
./configure --prefix=/usr --with-x --enable-gui=gtk2 --enable-eclinterp
