Jean-Christophe,
I'm Tim Daly, the axiom lead developer. Axiom is a large, free, open
source program written in common lisp. It was a commercial competitor
to Mathematica and Maple but was withdrawn from the market a few years
ago and given to me (because I was one of the original authors). Axiom
is used worldwide.
I published a tutorial in December using a self-publishing company
called Lulu.com. You can find the book on amazon (search for Daly Axiom)
If you're interesting in writing a translation this is an opportunity.
We have started discussing a translation program called po4a but since
I only speak English I have no idea how useful it might be.
The complete Latex sources for the book are free and are distributed
with the system. I can send you a copy if you'd like.
If you do a translation you are welcome to replace my name with yours
on the front of the book.
Tim Daly
