One of the things you can do is keep posting to the list :)  We've
gone a bit quiet lately, not for any particular reason - just that
there isn't much list traffic.  I would say that you ought to follow
Nikodemus' advice and do what interests you, you'll be gardening small
projects in no time.
Of course, you could look through the "official" projects here
http://wiki.alu.org/Gardeners_Projects and see if anything takes your
fancy.
