The SLIMPL project is pleased to announce the first major milestone: a
Perl module that can send an expression to Lisp and get a result back,
and a Vim module that can call it. Vim can talk to Lisp!
This module works under Linux, native Windows and Windows/Cygwin. (At
least, it works for me. :) It may, of course, work on other OSes.
Please see the SLIMPL page[1] for details: pointers to the README and
the mailing list, where to download, where to get a Perl-enabled Vim
for Windows/Cygwin, etc.
(Note that this version does not support the SLIME/Swank debugger in
any way. If you get an error or condition or invoke the debugger in
some other way, you'll probably have to kill your Lisp and restart it.
You may also crash or hang your Vim.)
Thanks to Peter Seibel, Brad Beveridge, and everyone on the SLIMPL
mailing list for their encouragement and support.
Green Thumbs: Please check out the SLIMPL page, linked below. What
more would you like to see to give your blessing and Plant this bad
boy?
