[Gardeners] cl-faq list set up

I've set up a mailing list for working on a new Common Lisp FAQ at cl-
faq at lispniks.com. As I discussed yesterday, the ideas is to use this
list for submitting questions and proposed answers from which we will
try to put together a FAQ. Discussion of the FAQ (as it comes
together) and details of questions and answers is also welcome. Non-
subscribers can post to the list so when I announce the CL Gardeners
project (soon) I'll tell people about this list so they can send
their proposals; folks can subscribe who are interested in actually
working on the crafting of the FAQ. On my todo list is to set up a
Subversion repository on lispniks.com where we can collaborate on
projects like the FAQ. (I figure we'll run things on the standard
open source model--the repo will be world readable and I'll accept
patches and then give commit privileges to folks who send me too many
patches.
But we don't need to wait for that to get started. The first step, is
to come up with a good list of questions. Since many of the
subscribers to this list are relative Lisp newbies, we can start by
having folks send any questions they have now or had untili recently
to cl-faq at lispniks.com. Don't worry too much about whether they're
good or are duplicates or whatever--I'll throw them all into the
hopper and see what comes out.
Obviously another place we can look at for questions is the old
comp.lang.lisp FAQ, though not everything in it is worth carrying
over. And we should also look at the common-lisp.net project that
started up a couple years ago with plans similar to ours but then
fizzled out (as far as I can tell).
