As a non-native speaker, I'm not sure if the word "community" hasn't got
enough positive emotions already. But still, I would like to see
"friendly community" instead of "community". As I described to you in
private, I think the biggest drag show for Lisp adoption is the absence
of a strong and helpful community. I felt this to be my strongest
anti-Common-Lisp argument while diving into CL. (I was kickbaned for 3
weeks on #lisp simply by arguing that FFI is important for newbies
because are likely to come from other languages. Even to the CL Janitor
thread on comp.lang.lisp, someone replied to a newcomer asking for
documentation with a link that insults the reader for not being able to
google stuff. These are no head starts into language adoption
enthusiasm.)
In the CL Gardeners project, I would like to see the postive vibe
emphazised next to an active discrimination of negative and
contraproductive mindsets.
So let's start with it: Thanks Peter for all your efforts :)
