Hi all, I figure it's probably good to send some info to the list, get
a bit of traffic going and get to know everyone.

I am a complete newbie to Lisp, so I am very interested in the "out of
box" newbie experience - which so far to be honest is not as good as
say, Python. There is lots of good Lisp info out there, but appears
scattered and hard to find.

For my day job I program embedded systems, mostly C or C++ (ugh) work,
I've been doing it for 5 years. I've been working with SBCL on Linux
for a couple of months & that is the sum total of my Lisp experiance.
I like tinkering with OpenGL and 3D games, but I am a long way away
from really attempting that with Lisp.

I'm also a Vim fan (don't hold it against me!), so I am interested in
development environments that use Vim. As a learning exercise for
myself I am trying to write a Vim clone in CL. I'm using ncurses for
the interface, and generating the bindings with Verranzano. I also
tried to use CL-ncurses, which worked for a bit, but blew up last time
I tried it.

I'm really pretty much interested in all things Lisp at the moment
(romance period I guess), so I'd like to help out with whatever :)

Cheers
Brad
