I thought it might be useful to propose an overall structure for a
new Lisp faq, and begin to fill it in. Such a structure might allow
us to get a quick head start, by incorporating existing answers etc.
where info is easy to find, and thus let us focus on gaps. Here's a
proposed first cut:
1. What is Lisp?
2. History
3. Variations
3.1. CLOS
3.2. Scheme
4. Comparisons to other languages
4.1. Smalltalk
4.2. C, C++, C#, Objective-C
4.3. Java
4.4. Python, Ruby
5. Information sources
5.1. books
5.2. web sites
5.3. mailing lists
6. Implementations
6.1. by OS
6.2. commercial vendors
6.3. open source implementations
6.4. freeware/shareware
6.5. academic?
7. Syntax
8. Tools
8.1. editors
8.2. libraries
9. Implementation-specific questions
