Can a person with foreign status, ie coming from, for example, Ukraine, get a loan from a bank in the country or take out a loan online?
It is not difficult to notice that foreigners are arriving in our country. Most often these are people from Ukraine who came to Poland in search of better living conditions and finding a job here. Can foreigners get a loan or credit in our country?
Obtaining a loan or credit through domestic loan companies involves meeting certain conditions. One of them says that a person who applies for a loan or credit must have Polish citizenship. Developing more thoroughly – a loan may be granted to a citizen of the Republic of Poland with a place of residence on the territory of the Republic of Poland. Unfortunately, without having Polish citizenship, a person with foreign status will not be able to obtain a loan in Poland. Very often, to obtain a loan, you also need an active bank account established in one of the Polish banks. Without such an account, it will not be possible to perform additional verification of the client applying for a loan. An alternative in this situation, however, may be loans using the Giro check. However, to obtain them, it is also necessary to have Polish citizenship.

It’s easier for a loan in a bank.
According to our information, in the bank we will have a much better chance of getting a loan if we have foreign citizenship. Here, however, the condition will be to have a permanent residence card. A permanent resident card is issued when a person holding the status of a foreigner has been granted a permit to settle, while a temporary residence card is issued when the foreigner has been granted a temporary residence permit. The residence card is a confirmation of the identity of the person who is a foreigner, and the fact that he is staying in Poland completely legally. Such a card is issued for a period not longer than 3 months. An additional document that will be required from a foreigner to obtain a loan from the bank will also be a certificate of employment and obtained income.
